Dear Portland First Family & Friends,
It’s hard to believe that we are just days away from Christmas!! I love this season and all the excitement that is in the air! Our family is once again looking forward to spending another Christmas here in Portland with my parents and siblings who will be coming in on Saturday.
As we move toward Sunday, we want to remind you to be sure to invite your friends and family to a great day of worship and celebration. Remember there will be no Sunday School on Sunday (except for the Encouragers), so you can sleep in a bit, enjoy that cup or even a second cup of coffee before coming to the church. If you do get here early no worries, our Coffee Cafe will be open early for you to get that cup of coffee with some friends.
We will be wrapping up our Christmas Playlist series looking at Simeon’s Song. Any and all kids are invited to be a part of a special performance; no practice is required. All of this will be in celebration of the promise that seemed so long in coming. The fact is, that regardless of how long it seems we are waiting, God is always true to His word. So don’t be late as the service begins at 10:30 AM.
There are only two Sundays left in the year. If you still need to make your end-of- year gift, you can drop it in the offering plate, or you can also use our app or give online at pdxfirst.org/give. Please note that in order for these gifts to be tax-deductible for 2017 they must be postmarked or given by next Sunday December 31, 2017.
Due to the holidays we want to make sure you are aware of when the office will be closed: December 21, 22, 25, 28 and January 1.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
